Rules and Warning System

Rules

1. No PP or GM. (Power-playing or god-modding.) We shouldn't even need to list this. For those that don't know, power-playing and god-modding are controlling another person's character, or being the character that's perfect, invincible, no weakness, etc. This makes the role playing unfair, so please don't do these things.
2. No cursing, cussing, swearing, or whatever you want to call it.
3. Nothing sexual. Romance such as kissing, marrying, holding hands, etc is fine. You should have a good sense of what is appropriate and what isn't.
4. Some violence is going to happen. It's just the way it has to be. This does not mean, however, that posts should be exceptionally gory.
5. Do not kill another member's character without their permission. This goes along with PP and GM.
6. We understand that grammar and spelling mistakes happen, but please do your best in your posts. The spell check should be your friend.
7. Little to no one liners. If your having trouble posting, just remember that you have five senses. Describe what your character saw, or heard. Post what they are thinking, what emotions they have at the moment, past experiences. If you're still having trouble, pm a staff member or a more literate member and ask them for help. I'm sure they'd be happy to offer advice.
8. Please try not to post more than once in a row. Just edit your previous post.

Warning System

Depending on how serious the rule you break is, you may get more or less warnings before you are banned. However, this is the general system to go by:

If you break the rules once, you will get a warning by PM from one of the admins and your post will be edited.
If you break the rules twice, you will get another warning by PM from one of the admins and your post will be edited.
If you break the rules three times, you will be banned for one week, your post will be edited, and you will be taken down by one posting rank.
If you break the rules four times, you will be banned for two-three weeks, your post will be edited, and you will be taken down by two posting ranks.
If you break the rules five times, you will be permanently banned.

Again, this is only an estimate of what will happen. What will happen depends on the offense.

Also, we will be using proboards warning system, so you will be able to see exactly how your status is here as a member. You will be banned when your warning level reaches 100%.

If your behavior is good, your warning level may be taken down.
